July 1 - Peter, of Peter, Paul & Mary. Three youngsters that came to me through the Howe's Cave Animal Hospital. They have only one more week to go til they
can join Punky & the gang in the big cage.
|

July 7, Wendy, a woodchuck who suffered head trauma from being hit by a car. She couldn't even stand up when I got her, now she is snarling and mean like she should be and the
last neurological symptom, a head tilt, is gone.
|
July 7, Luke, a three month old red fox came to me from another rehabber. In his short life he's had to endure a lot. He was run over by a car which crushed a foot and broke
his pelvis and back legs. He also came in with mange. He has healed from his injuries and is almost ready to
join Smoky & Bandit, for some much needed fox company. We never raise foxes alone,
they become very depressed without company of their own kind.

Katy & Carrie are in my "kennel" cage, named that as it was
converted from a donated dog kennel . It was last set up for squirrels and this squirrel box became a favorite
spot immediately.
|

I knew they'd grow out of the squirrel box soon, the entrance is a 3" hole, so I made them a new "fisher nest box".
|

So far , they prefer their hammock.
Carrie and Katy are two very photogenic fishers from the Town of Queensbury. Fishers are members of the weasel family and are more usually found in deep woods habitat.
